Reebonz City Girl Review: My Cozy Room Babor Rejuvenating Facial

Thu, 03/22/2012 - 5:49PM by Reebonz

This week, Reebonz surprised me with a chance to try the Rejuvenating Facial at My Cozy Room featuring the product line from Germany brand, BABOR.

I have been battling with a really bad eczema flare-up since a year ago; it has since spread to my face. This manifests itself in red, dry and sometimes scaly patches with the occasional itch. I have since been trying out facials to help my skin condition.

I took on My Cozy Room’s offer a week ago and reminded myself to keep my skin in a better condition so as to avoid excessive nagging by the beautician that day. However, instead of a dreaded nagging session, I was greeted with sound, friendly advice and a wonderfully rejuvenating facial session.

The ambience of the beauty spa is surprisingly serene and relaxing, you can’t hear the sound of the traffic right outside the Spa but only the soothing instrumental music through the sound system. It is a spacious 3 level shop house unit that truly lives up to its name.

The highlight of the treatment has to be the ampoules, which were invented by BABOR. The ampoules are sealed in high temperatures in the little glass vials. Each 2ml vial is filled with high concentrations of goodness for your skin. I have been told that for each ampoule they come up with, it takes two years of research and rigorous testing to ensure that results are seen with each use!

For my skin, Celine, My Cozy Room's founder, chose the Express Relief ampoule to rid of the redness and to soothe my irritated skin. I am proud to say that the results were immediate and lasted for some time!

To help the ampoule penetrate better into your skin, the BABOR method incorporates this instrument or technology called the ION+ Nano-Absorption System to nano-nize the ampoules and feed it onto our skin. It is a little nifty gadget that is hand-held and can be bought for home use too!

The beautician will massage the contents of the ampoule that has been nano-nized into a fine mist into your face for complete absorption. The mist feels cool and a little foreign at first but after a while, you will get used to it!

This ION+ Nano-Absorption System is especially suited for most skin types, even for acne, enlarged pores, uneven skin tones, ageing and even sensitive skin. This system is meant to restore skin for a more radiant you!

The neck and shoulder massage is always a welcome relief to the aching bodies of the office worker. The strength was good and massage was thorough. The extraction though was painless mostly and was done very gently; minimizing the spotty redness you’d normally get in most facials.

Overall, I loved the facial treatment. Extremely relaxing and they took care of me each step of the way. I am not too comfortable with showing how I look normally with the scaly and redness and all. But here is the after result, which I found to have seen tremendous improvement!

And to achieve such good results after only one treatment, it is both the work of the BABOR products as well as the skill and technique employed by the beautician. Thank you My Cozy Room for the exquisite treatment and Reebonz City for the opportunity!

For Easter, here are how the ampoules will be housed in!

Cute isn’t it? Stay tuned to Reebonz City for the exclusive deal!

Reebonz City Girl Review: Hypoxi at Croyez Studio

Fri, 02/17/2012 - 10:08AM by Reebonz

Ever stared hard at yourself in the mirror only to see layers and layers of cellulites accumulating on your bottom?

Ever tried running or exercising in hope to get rid of them, but gave up midway?

Ever wanted a pain-free and non-invasive way to get rid of them without hurting your pockets?

As the Reebonz City Girl for the week, I've landed a trial with an ideal way of expelling those pesky cellulites on my bottom -- sans perspiration, hot sun or burning a hole in my pocket. Here, I introduce to you the new Hypoxi Class by Croyez Studio!

A quick summary of Croyez Studio (Purvis St): It opened less than two years ago. The cozy workout studio is situated in the heart of Singapore, a short fifteen minutes walk from Bugis station & a stone's throw away from the National Library Building. Located on the second floor of a conservation shophouse, the studio is like a hidden gem tucked away in a quaint street of our bustling city.

Wondering what Hypoxi Class is all about?

So, the programme involves me sitting in a specialised machine (as shown above) for a good 30mins, and VOILA, my cellulites are gone!

Okay, I'm just jesting, but the truth isn't far from that!

As understood from my trainer, Hanah, the Hypoxi programme merely requires me to work the machine like a stationary bicycle.

Some quick knowledge about this therapy: Hypoxi achieves fat-reduction on our lower body through the simultaneous use of vacuum technology and fat-burning training. How cool is that right!

So that's me in the machine, all ready for my little workout.

Apart from the fact I'm all boxed up in a machine, the nice people at Croyez Studio even brought me my cell phone and some latest magazines for me to browse through while my fats burn away. The therapy was that relaxing and easy to deal with. Since the usage of electronic devices does not interfere with the machine, phone addicts can even use their mobiles or listen to music while they pedal away.

Thirty minutes flew by in a jiffy & honestly, I did not perspire a single bit. I would credit that to the cozy setting of the studio as well as the relaxing workout with the Hypoxi machine. It was certainly a refreshing experience.

After further enquiry with the trainer, I gathered that Hypoxi programme is suitable for everyone except expecting mums, anyone with infectious disease/ inflammation, and anyone who's nursing any form of pain. One can attend up to 3 sessions per week for favourable results and each session is a mere 30mins. For ladies who are hesitating about working out because of your monthly woes, fear not! Hypoxi is one excellent workout you can engage in at anytime of the month. *wink*

One last note from the trainers: due to the nature of the Hypoxi programme, one is encouraged to drink more water to remain hydrated at all times & she should not engage in further exercises after the therapy.

All thanks to the Reebonz City Girl treat of the week, I've worked out in style & on my way to wave goodbye to my cellulites ;)

EDITOR'S NOTE: Hypoxi is available for grabs at a very exclusive rate on Reebonz City!

What’s this? Snail?? Don’t worry, I shared the same sentiments as you too. I am putting SNAIL gunk on my FACE?? But seriously, it’s the rage right now and you’re missing out. I’m a firm believer in the 3-step routine (cleanse, tone, moisturize!) and I received 2 out of the 3 steps! It’s great because I can use the snail AC Trouble Mask after I apply the toner! The cleanser is light on the skin, contains moisturizers and Wild Rose Extract! The lotion removes residual dead skin cells to improve the texture and tone of your skin.

There are mint green circles inside! This SkinC Reinforce Ceramide Serum contains 4 different ceramides to prevent dehydration of the skin and protects it from harmful stimuli like UV rays! Plus, it can also be used to relive the symptoms of eczema.

Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate boosts production of ‘youth proteins’ to reverse signs of aging! The most expensive item in the box, it is the product of 10 years of research and has 7 international patents to its name! Already applied it onto my face and can’t wait to see the results.

Reebonz City Girl Review: Skin Inc Oxy Miracle Infusion Treatment

Thu, 01/26/2012 - 11:13AM by Reebonz

Being rather young (all of 22 years old) and lucky enough to have neither acne problems nor sensitive skin, I have generally pretty good skin. Good enough to be able to go out without putting on any foundation except for under-eye concealers to cover up the fact that I have been up late studying or surfing the net.

Which is why when Reebonz City invited me to try out the Oxy Miracle Infusion Treatment at Skin Inc, I was pretty sceptical. I have been consistent with my skincare regimen and do go for facials regularly – what big difference can this treatment make? Well, no harm trying anyway.

One rainy afternoon I traipsed to the Marina Bay Link Mall, one of their newest outlets. It seemed to be quite a distance from Raffles Place MRT station, but as it is connected to the station via underground linkways, I was completely sheltered from the rain throughout my easy 10-minute walk.

Skin Inc wasn’t difficult to find, its bright and white shopfront stood out from the other boutiques and eating places around it.

I was greeted by Adeline, who had me answer a questionnaire so as to understand my skin’s needs better. My main concerns were my dull complexion, dark eye-rings, and dehydrated skin – All products of my late nights and long time spent in air-conditioned places.

In an instant, the computer generated my skin analysis and recommended some serums to be mixed like a cocktail for use during my facial. Very personalised!

Thereafter, I was led into the treatment room. As expected, the white was strongly featured. The towels and sheets were clean and the room was pretty spacious!

Adeline started off the treatment by double-cleansing my skin. First with a lavender-infused cleansing oil, then a light foam cleanser which felt really good on my skin. Thereafter was the first major step of the Oxy Miracle Infusion treatment - the Oxy Miracle Peel. She introduced a jet of oxygen and saline at a high, but still comfortable pressure, to one side of my face, focusing on the problem areas such as the sides of my nose, forehead and chin, where white heads and clogged pores congregated. I was really sceptical at this point – How can a jet of air and water exfoliate, cleanse, hydrate, oxygenate and micro-circulate my skin all at the same time?!

But after she was done with one side, I looked into the mirror and was really impressed. There IS a discernible difference compared to the untreated side of my face! My pores were smaller, cleaner, and the mini bumps on my face were smoothened out. Most importantly, my skin was now more radiant and soft.

The next step would be the application of my customised serum cocktail. The gel-texture was easily absorbed and felt cool on my skin. Another stream of oxygen and Onsen (Japanese hot spring) water was introduced to stimulate absorption of the active ingredients in the serum into the deeper layers of my skin.

Finally, Adeline applied a Deepsea Hydrating Mask which wasn’t heavy at all, and left me to rest for a while. (Try out the Oxy Miracle treatment via Reebonz City, and get a 30ml bottle of this great mask free!)

At the end of the treatment, she passed me the mirror. Couldn’t help but blurt out “Wow, there IS a difference!” My skin felt so hydrated, and looked healthier. No wonder this treatment won the Harper’s Bazaar Spa Awards 2010 for the “Best Results-in-a-Flash Facial”.

I am one satisfied girl, because not only is the treatment effective, the products used on my skin were all free of harmful parabens and scents. The world’s first Skin Supplement Bar has proven that beautiful skin can be achieved without the use of strong chemicals. When I start working at Raffles Place next year, I’m going to come back to this outlet to treat my skin to the Oxy Miracle Infusion!

Reebonz City Girl Review: Fitness and Detox Massage at Phillip Wain

Wed, 01/18/2012 - 11:09AM by Reebonz

The other day I went for a timely fitness and detox massage session at Phillip Wain; I had just been feeling all that holiday weight—literally, in those extra pounds around my hip. At my age, one starts to worry about losing that incredibly high metabolism one used to have as a teenager, as I’m sure most twenty two year olds experience. Gone are the days we could eat whatever we wanted (and this consists mostly of the sweetest, crispiest, most MSG-laden food), without squeezing our thighs and wondering “What the…”

Already having decided 2012 was going to be the year where I can start anew, start a healthier, fitter regime, (we all need the new year as an excuse) what better way to start than in the right hands? In this case, Phillip Wain’s.

We started off with an hour of fitness on their newly-acquired and very exclusive rip:60—a piece of professional equipment that looks like a harness that you can hook securely on any door, tree, overhanging bar or in this case at the gym.

So here you can see the kind instructor being very patient with me and explaining how it works. Obviously a total newcomer to sportiness on any level, I smile and nod.

We soon get started. A bit nervous, I follow her instructions. But it proves to be simpler than I thought! And the exercises don’t make me tremble with sweat—or fear.

She’s a little hard on me at this point. She’s pressing my tummy down to make it harder. Kind of hated her for a second, but thanked her for way longer after.

As much as I say the exercises were simple and easy to follow, I realized that they definitely weren’t a walk in the park. They were more than challenging, but the best part is that you set your own pace and do whatever feels comfortable for you. The exercises are entirely customizable to suit your size and fitness levels. I definitely felt the stretch, and some muscles burning. Some of the exercises felt very similar to yoga and pilates movements. But they were less restrictive as you can take it one step further by lifting off the floor, using merely your own body weight. I feel like with this machine you can tone and burn fats but without bulking up and looking too muscular—making it the perfect equipment for ladies.

My friend Afiqah joined in the fun as well, working her little butt off!

For a complete work out that's suitable for beginners to advanced users, I’d say that it’ll definitely come in handy in getting ripped. Being so simple, it’s something I might consider having at home and the rip:60 is being sold exclusively at Phillip Wain for just $295. Small price to pay for a killer bod.

After the session, we were whisked into a dimly-lit treatment room to enjoy a Detox & Drain massage. The hour-long treatment, which also came with divine-smelling essential oils, was so relaxing I almost fell asleep!

EDITOR'S NOTE: Trial two sessions of the rip:60 and enjoy a detoxifying massage in an exclusive offer on Reebonz City here!

Reebonz City Girl Review: My Cozy Room Jade and Ginseng Facial

Tue, 01/03/2012 - 11:01AM by Reebonz

I have to admit I was a little apprehensive when I was invited to test My Cozy Room’s Imperial Jade and Ginseng facial. I’ve just returned from working in Hong Kong and the weather changes were too much for my sensitive, eczema-prone skin. My skin was quite inflamed at the moment and I didn’t want to mess with it. However, after checking the positive facebook comments on My Cozy Room, I decided to give it a try anyway.

I sort of lost my way and had to call Celine at My Cozy Room. But when I reached there, I was so taken with the view of the little row of colloquial houses. So very cute. The staircase is decorated subtly and gave a very welcoming feel.

Once inside, Celine greeted me warmly and served lavender tea in the prettiest little tea cup. Yum! We chatted a little on my skin condition and Babor products. Basically, the Imperial Jade and Ginseng facial is a Chinese New Year special that uses Babor products, infused with jade roller and ginseng soft mask. Since my skin is extremely sensitive now, Celine said she might change the ginseng mask to calming mask so as not to aggravate my sensitive skin. The ginseng used here is of a high concentration and might be too rich for my frail skin. Ginseng is extremely good for reducing wrinkles and increasing collagen production.

Off we went to the room. Again... what a comfortable, welcoming room! The sheets are so soft. My therapist, Violet, promptly cleansed my skin. Her hands were so wonderful. After cleansing, she steams my face for extraction. Since my skin is quite congested, she really had to work long and hard at extracting. However, the extraction is so gentle and painless that I fell asleep throughout and even snored a little!

Celine kept coming back to check on me to make sure that my skin is taking to the facial without any nasty redness. I appreciate the concern. Next, Violet applies the jade facial massage for me. This consists of Babor mask on my face and massaging with warm and cold jade roller. The feeling is quite nice, really.

Then Violet proceeds to apply a soft mask on my face. Since my skin is way too sensitive, they have decided not to use ginseng mask for me, replacing it with sensitive & calming mask. I am grateful. Violet let me smell the ginseng mask though, and I have to admit, I wish my skin isn’t so fragile right now! The ginseng smells so divine and rich (I don’t think a person who hates ginseng will say the same, though).

Then Violet proceeded to give me a shoulder and head massage. It was so soothing. For once, I was actually quite sad the session was over. Then it struck me. This is truly a cozy room indeed. What an apt name.

As I sat down later to take a sip of the tea, Celine urged me to look into the mirror. I was so surprised I yelped. My skin is so bright and smooth. It doesn’t even look like I’ve had facial on the same day! Celine and I talked some more about skin problems and we agree it’s fate that we met today so she can help me with my problem skin.
I am so besotted I bought myself Babor products and booked an appointment for a facial before Chinese New Year.

Reebonz City Girl Review: Spa Archipelago

Thu, 12/22/2011 - 11:12AM by Reebonz

Tucked away from the crowd of the Central Business District is Spa Archipelago, an oasis located at Stamford Court, ready to provide customers with a friendly and relaxing experience.

I never really had the time to go for spas due to my busy schedule so thanks to Reebonz City, I finally was able to get the break I needed in a really long time.

Their friendly staff greeted me and offered me a nice cup of tea while they prepped the room for my full body massage and body mask.

After changing into slippers, my masseuse for the day, Christie, brought me upstairs where the room they had prepared awaited me. The room was not extremely large but it was cosy and comfortable.

As I laid down to get ready for my full body massage, a pleasant surprise greeted me! The staffs at Spa Archipelago were so meticulous that there was a vase filled with water and flowers right below the opening where my face would be- the flowers produced a subtle fragrance, which added to the soothing ambience already set by the music played and dimmed lights.

The hour-long massage on the overall was comfortable and soothing. Christie used grape seed oil, which provided sufficient lubricating effects but did not leave an unpleasant sticky sensation after. There were some parts of the massage where it got a little sore due to how tensed my shoulders were but I could feel Christie working to help me release the tension and before long, I found myself dozing off.

Christie was extremely helpful- she explained how I have water retention in my knees and upper body, possibly due to bad blood circulation, while frequently checking back with me to see if the pressure was alright.

After the massage, Christie explained to me that due to my dry skin (I have a mild case of eczema) and my water retention, she would be using the Dead Sea Body Masque instead of the originally planned Seaweed Body Masque, as it would serve me better. She then proceeded on to apply the masque, warning me that I may feel an initial tingling sensation due to the heat produced by the bed and the heating sheet placed on top of me. As predicted, I started fidgeting to deal with the itch that I was feeling in the first 5 minutes. Despite the initial itch, the remaining time spent with the masque on was pleasant.

30 minutes later, Christie re-entered the room and massaged my face with lavender oil. I was then directed to their spacious bathroom to wash up and witness the effects of my body treatment!

After washing up, I noticed that my skin felt softer and firmer. My skin was also a lot less dry than it used to be, making me one very happy and satisfied girl!

The meticulous and friendly service provided by the staff, as well as how they customised my body treatment according to what my skin required reflected how highly they valued their customers, making me feel extremely pampered throughout the entire experience.

Reebonz City Girl Review: Aqua Physio Therapy

Wed, 12/14/2011 - 11:00AM by Reebonz

So I’ve been thinking about going for physiotherapy ever since I went to the doctor and found out I had slipped disc. However, due to work commitments and constant excuses to myself, that little reminder got slipped away. Well, seemed like a well-planned coincidence, but I was invited to be Reebonz City Girl to check out Aqua Physio Rehab Centre at Camden Medical Centre.

I’ve heard about physiotherapy, but not really one in water, so I was quite curious what the centre had to offer and how different it would be from the typical ones done in hospitals/clinics.

When I first arrived at the centre, the interior was actually quite small, with a shallow pool taking up most of the area. I was greeted by one of the therapists, who led me to the consultation room. I must say I felt quite at home when I went for the visit.

The therapist was awfully friendly and was more than happy to answer any questions I had. She was experienced, thorough in her explanations, and even gave tips of how to look after our back and neck. Best tip of the day? After a long days wear of high heel shoes, it’s always good to lie on our back on the ground, hug our knees close to our chest and repeat this about 5 times for a few minutes. With such pressure exerted on our feet, it affects our back which leans a certain way to hold our balance – not our body’s normal standing position.

After the theory session, Shatki, the manager of the centre, was very keen in letting me try the various exercises done in water since they specialize in aqua therapy. However, silly me for not bringing my swimwear. But because I was quite intrigued, I went back home to get it just to try one session!

Basically, the difference of the usual pysio and one under water is that there is lesser impact when you do it with the latter. Thus, you don’t exert that much pressure onto your back /neck/spine. This treatment can be quite helpful if you suffer from backaches, neckaches, sports injuries, stroke, arthritis and Parkinson’s Disease.

I was introduced to a male therapist who was already in the heated pool, who first wanted me to try certain exercises that would help with my core muscle. I was given a “noodle”, as they call it, but it was just a long yellow foam tube. I thought to myself that it didn’t seem so hard, but it was! I couldn’t even stand properly, without ending up moving backwards.  The male therapist was absolutely helpful and wanted me to try as much exercises as I could within the session time, teaching me various techniques to work on different parts of my body.

My favourite part of the treatment was actually called “snaking” where he basically place foams on your legs, waist and neck so that you’ll float on water. He then held on different key points on the body and moved your body in a way that appears like how a snake moves. Absolutely relaxing!

I left the place, having quite a good feel about it. The team was absolutely friendly, sincere and very attentive. The place was small but conducive for treatments. Also, the idea of doing pysio under water also seems like more relaxing and a more comforting alternative that would work equally well, if not better, than regular physio. Considering there are only 2 – 3 certified places in Singapore that offers this, this is one place definitely worth considering.

Reebonz City Girl Review: Hydradermie Double Ionisation Facial from L'essenza

Fri, 12/09/2011 - 11:00AM by Reebonz

Just as I was thinking of booking a pampering facial session to end off the year, Reebonz City invited me to review L’essenza’s Hydradermie Double Ionization Treatment!

I was glad to know that L'essenza (which means The Essence Of Lifestyle) is conveniently located right next to Raffles City Shopping Centre. This meant that I didn't have to venture too far out.

Nestled within the charming Raffles Hotel Shopping Arcade, the surroundings and historical facade of the hotel made me slow down my footsteps to take in the relaxing atmosphere.

On my way to the spa, I could not help but smile at the beautiful scenes around me.

This is my usual facial get-up: huge ass shades to shield my bare face from random strangers’ scrutiny.

When I reached L’essenza, Donna was there to greet and bring me to my treatment room. The spa looked bright, cosy and clean, which put my mind at ease as hygiene and noise level are two of my main spa gripes.

I was ushered into a cosy treatment room and instructed to remove my earrings and clothes before changing into a pink satin tube robe dress. I prefer this material as I hate wearing scratchy cotton robes for long facials.

Donna came in shortly after I settled down, emphasizing that it was imperative for me to feel comfortable on the bed as I would be lying down for at least an hour. It is good that she takes the effort to ensure that her clients are comfortable and at ease throughout the entire duration of the facial. There was also an electric blanket under the bed to keep me warm and snug.

This facial uses Guinot products and has major international fans, such as Jennifer Aniston and Karl Lagerfeld. Well, if it is good enough for Karl, it is definitely good enough for me! Hearing about many celebrities’ endorsements for this facial, I was psyched for the session and could not wait for the machine to begin its skin beautifying process.

From Guinot’s website, this facial is said to be “a spectacular treatment with an international reputation and one that provides visible, lasting results. The new and improved Hydradermie machine now offers higher ionization current which allows gels to penetrate deeper in the epidermis for more effective in-depth cleansing and hydration.”

Sounds fantastic to me! Below are the various serums and lotions available for use throughout the facial process.

Guinot’s Star Treatment, Hydradermie, is not just any deep-cleansing treatment. The treatment consists of a machine that utilizes mild electrical currents to draw out the impurities from deep within your skin whilst penetrating only the best ingredients into your skin’s many layers - working both on and beneath the surface!

The facial started with Donna cleansing my face with a serum that has a gel-like consistency. The texture was very cooling and soothing. Plus, it did not leave me with an oily feeling after wash-off. Following that, Donna applied a gel scrub to cleanse my pores and soften my skin. This facial treatment does not include steaming as a prelude to using the machine as they believe that steaming is unnecessary and the scrub is effective enough to cleanse the pores.

As she was cleansing my face, I realised that she did not emulsify the cleanser and the scrub with wet hands and then clean off with linen cloths. I noticed that Donna had used a soft and moist cloth to wipe off the cleanser and scrub, instead of rough linen cloth that are woven with scratchy threads. This is a nice touch!

Once the skin has been cleansed and scrubbed, Donna started to perform extractions on my face. I usually hate this part as it would mainly consist of me trying not to grimace from the pain. But here, I found that the extractions performed were not too painful (and this judging from my low pain tolerance).

After swiping some toner onto my skin, Donna brought the Guinot Hydradermie machine into the room and explained the procedures to me. Donna took the time to find out about my existing skin care regime and brands before analyzing my skin condition and explaining how I can take better care of my skin.

I was pronounced with dehydrated skin and thus, it was not advisable to use just the whitening serum for my freckles as that will worsen my dehydrated skin condition. Donna decided to combine both whitening and hydrating serums to boost my skin’s hydration level while lightening my freckles. She explained that for clients who are trying the machine out for the first time, the setting will be kept to 5 volts for the client’s comfort. She will also choose the serums based on the client’s needs to cater to different skin conditions.

Donna showed me the negative and positive ion rods connected to the machine, and warned me that the negative ion rod will have a slight tingly effect on my skin. After spreading the serum onto my face and décolleté, Donna ran the rods around the skin contours thoroughly. I can attest that the tingly session is not uncomfortable and actually feels pretty interesting. The Hydradermie Gels contain specialized essential oils that aid microcirculation, tissue oxygenation and toxin elimination to purify the skin.

After an initial run on different sides of the face, Donna then switched rods so as to ensure that my entire face gets both positive and negative ions. For this unique treatment, I feel that the ion rods felt tingly smooth against my skin and I got used to the tingly sensation within minutes. While running the rods over my skin, Donna shared that the mild galvanic currents uses high frequency to penetrate active ingredients deeply into layers of my epidermis for stimulation and in-depth hydration.

I noticed that the roller side is used for flat surfaces of my face and the balls on the sides are used around the eye, chin and nose. After the ionization process, an oxygen emulsion was used to oxygenate and purify my skin to stimulate micro-circulation and improve healing. It was tingly and soothing at the same time and I kind of like this weird sensation! After cleansing off, Donna also gave my face a lifting massage with firm movements to aid relaxation before smoothing on a hydrating mask.

The facial finished off with a dose of moisturiser. I changed back into my own clothes and was then ushered outside for a cup of hot tea. One thing to note is that there are no washrooms available within the spa, so you will need to venture out to another area in the hotel for restrooms.

I was told to avoid putting on makeup after the facial so as to allow the skin to fully reap the benefits of the facial products. At the end of the session, I can see that my skin appears lifted and brighter. I left the spa with a radiant glow on my face and a spring in my step.

Here is a side by side comparison of my skin before and after the session. I feel that my pores are cleaner and my skin looks clearer and more toned.

Overall, I can say that it is quite a departure from normal cleansing facial routines. I felt comfortable in Donna’s hands and won't mind trying the facial again! I personally believe that using machines in facials does aid in product penetration.

If you wish to try out this unique facial treatment that is all the rage in Hollywood, do contact Donna at +65 63370060.
